The Ping G10 Fairway Woods are engineered with a crown that intersects the sole to create a low profile head that combines with a shallow face for improved performance from all types of lies. The intersection of the crown and sole results in a skirt-less design which allowed PING engineers to reposition mass for a lower center of gravity location.The Ping G10 fairway woods have a shallow face that is longer heel to toe to increase the effective hitting area for added forgiveness and consistency.Ping's fairway woods have come a long way since the early days and we think the Ping G10 fairways are the best looking design so far. It's much more classic in shape but the design hides a very low centre of gravity which will get the ball up in the air very easily. It is quite a shallow face but the width gives you lots of forgiveness and it sits beautifully behind the ball. The 3-wood is very good, but for some reason is not as easy to hit as the 4 or 5 wood and in our tests we managed to get the higher number clubs to go almost as far.
